I always think I have these incredible baby shower gift ideas. I never actually execute them, and that may be because the ideas really aren't as great as I think they are.  That said, I think this is a genius baby shower gift idea.



You buy the adorable baby booties for the baby, because that seems to be what the baby shower is all about.  Then, add on this great gift for the mom:



Because the mom-to-be is what the baby shower should also be about. Okay, maybe I was a selfish mom-to-be (and, arguably, a selfish mom), but I did think at least a teensy bit of the baby shower should be about gifts for me. Is that crazy? So, most of my genius baby shower gift ideas do tend to focus on the new mom. Maybe that's why they're not so genius. If it was about the mom, we'd call it a New Mommy Shower. A good reason to have another party, no?
